ALFRED J. SANTONI Sr.

Alfred Joseph Santoni Sr., 94, Altoona, died peacefully Sunday afternoon at his residence.

He was born in Gallitzin, son of the late Livio and Annie (Bricca) Santoni. He married Sylvia Mary Tudisco on April 24, 1954, in Altoona.

Surviving are his wife; three sons: Jeffrey T. of Pittsburgh and Alfred J. Jr. and Ronald M., both of Altoona; a grandson, Ryan Santoni; a granddaughter, Chelsea Santoni; and a brother, Dickie in Michigan.

Alfred had worked at Veeder-Root Co. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, a life member of American Legion Post 0827 and a member of the Bavarian Aid Society. He enjoyed gardening and roller skating and loved to dance.

Friends will be received from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral Mass Thursday, March 6, 2014, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 309 Lotz Ave., Lakemont, Monsignor Michael A. Becker as celebrant. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
