Amelia O. "Mina" Seiler, 79, of Altoona, passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her family. Mina was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Elias Joseph and Elsie Alice (Visocky) Mangiacarne. She married James M. Seiler on Aug. 17, 1963, at Cathedral Of The Blessed Sacrament.
Surviving are her husband, James; a daughter, Deanna Marie Steele; a son, Michael Andrew; a brother, Francis Lee "Butch" (Anne Lucille) Mangiacarne; granddaughters: Amanda Zeak (Andrew), Paige Steele and Erin Kershner (Michael); grandsons, Conner Steele (Logan) and Collin Steele (Madison); and great-granddaughters: Keira, Bella and Mikaela.
Mina was a member of Cathedral of The Blessed Sacrament where she was an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, a cantor and a choir member. She was a member of various parish committees. She liked to work puzzle books and crossword puzzles.
She was known as Mina to her family and friends.
She loved her husband, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2020, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th Street, Altoona, PA.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020, at Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament by Monsignor Stanley Carson. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.
COVID-19 guidelines will be in place for all services.
