Arnold E. Lafferty

Arnold E. Lafferty July 12, 1932 - September 25, 2009 Mr. Lafferty age 77, of Altoona, PA., died Friday morning at Altoona Regional Health System Altoona Hosp Campus. Born in Logan Twp., PA, he was the son of the late Charles M. and the Margaret ( Murtiff ) Lafferty. He married Marion 'Sissy' Wendt on March 14, 1953 at Leesburg, Va. Survived by his wife: 'Sissy': two daughters: Denise Peterman, Rebecca Burk, two sons: Larry E., Dennis E. 9 grandchildren and a great grandson. Two sisters: Nancy Zeth, and Patricia Walker and a brother: Carl. Predeceased by his son, Charles S. Mr. Lafferty was a member of Member of Newburg Fire Association. He retired as a Compressor Operator for the City of Altoona. Arnold enjoyed puzzles and going for Ice Cream to the creameries. He served during Korean War in the Army as a corporal. Friends may be received Monday from 2 - 4 and 6 to 8 pm at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home, Inc., 1204 - 17th Street, Altoona, PA. A funeral services will be held Monday, September 28, 2009 at 8:00 pm at the funeral home by Rev. Walt Smith. Committal Rose Hill Cemetery, Altoona.
