Bernard "Bernie" Shea

Bernard 'Bernie' M. Shea, 87, of Altoona, passed away Thursday evening at UPMC Altoona.

Bernie was born in Hollidaysburg, the son of the late Matthew and Ruth (Querry) Shea. His wife, Janet L. 'Jane' Shea, whom he married on July 24, 1954, at St. Michaels Catholic Church Hollidaysburg, Pa, she preceded him in death on May 17, 2021.

Survived by one daughter: Ruth Dittsworth (Daryl), three sons: Bernie Shea (Wendy), Pat Shea (Donna) and Danny Shea (Michele), Sixteen grandchildren, Eighteen great grandchildren, a Great-Great Grandson, son-in-laws, Gary Keagy and Jeff Shearer.

He was also preceded in death by his daughters, M. Denise Keagy and Theresa Shearer, a son, Mathew, sisters, Gertrude "Ann" and Maureen, and brother, Denny.

He was a lithographer, employed by Butterick.

Bernie was very religious and loved his Lord and his family.

Friends received Tuesday September 14, 2021, from 6 to 8 pm at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home, Inc., 1204 - 17th Street, Altoona, PA. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday September 15, 2021, at 10 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 27th St. and Broad Ave. Altoona Pa. by Father James Dugan.

Committal will be at Greenlawn Cemetery of St. Michaels, Hollidaysburg.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be sent to please for Masses or for Cemetery care at Greenlawn Cemetery at St. Michaels 301 Spruce St. Hollidaysburg Pa. 16648.
