Blanche E. Delozier, 89, formerly of Woodrow Wilson Gardens Apartments, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday evening at the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late George and Florence (Gonsman) Hileman. She married Charles E. Delozier on Nov. 6, 1948, in Altoona, and he died on April 29, 1997.
Surviving are two daughters: Barbara A. Fanelli of Altoona and Bonnie Delozier of Pittsburgh; a son, David and wife, Lisa, of Wyomissing; six grandchildren: Patrick (Tiffany) Fanelli, Brett (Rebekah) Fanelli, Amy Delozier, Brian Delozier, Camrin Delozier and Lindsey Delozier; three great-grandchildren: Sofia, Annabella and Donato Fanelli; and a brother, George Hileman of Hollidaysburg.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Bertha Myers; and two brothers: Robert and William.
Blanche was a 1940 graduate of Altoona High School. She was employed at Sellers Jewelry Store as a sales associate. She was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church and the Cradle Roll and Faith Joy Sunday school classes, and she was a volunteer at the Van Zandt VA Medical Center.
Blanche enjoyed knitting and crossword puzzles.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona, and from 9 until the 10 a.m. funeral service Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at First Baptist Church, 12th Avenue and 17th Street, Altoona, Pastor Tyler Pepper officiating. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
