Catherine M. Shaunessy

Catherine M. Shaunessy age 82, of Falls Church, VA, formerly of Altoona died Tuesday morning at Virginia Hospital Center, Arlington, Va. She was born in Altoona, PA., the daughter of the late James M. and Hilda M. (Conrad) Shaunessy. Survived by two sisters: Alverta C. Allison of Hatfield, Frances B. Lease and husband Gilbert of Ellicott City, MD and one brother: John J. Shaunessy of Gloucester, MA. Preceded in death by brothers and sisters: Josephine McCloskey; Sister Hilda Marie Shaunessy Sister of Charity; Barbara McCorkle; James M. Jr.; and Walter P. She was a retired as a secretary for the Department Of Defense. Catherine was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Falls Church, Virginia. She was a graduate of Altoona Catholic High School At request of the deceased there will be no viewing. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am Saturday September 25, 2010 at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church, at 4th St. and Wopsononock Ave, Altoona. By Father Timothy Grimme.
