CATHERINE A. YONKOSKY

Catherine A. Yonkosky, 86, Celebration, Fla., died Tuesday afternoon at Health Central Hospital, Ocoee, Fla.

She was born in Coupon, daughter of the late Valentine and Victoria (Blout) Zavalanski. She married Albert Yonkosky on May 8, 1947, in Coupon, and he preceded her in death on June 22, 1983.

Surviving are two daughters: Donna Soto and husband, Henry, of Celebration, Fla., and Kathy of Winter Garden, Fla.; two granddaughters: Michelle of Pittsburgh and Kimberly of Longwood, Fla.; and a grandson, Gabriel of Cape Girardeau, Mo.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary; and a brother, Valentine.

Catherine was a former member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She retired as the owner/operator of the Davis Coal Co., Mill Run with her husband, Albert, . She enjoyed gardening, cooking and living in Florida, but she enjoyed most of all taking care of her family.

Friends will be received 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2013, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Broad Avenue and 27th Street, Altoona, by Father Christopher Panagoplos. Committal will be in SS. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Cemetery, Altoona.
