Clarence Edward “Ed” Decker 82, of Altoona, died Thursday at his residence.
He was born in Petersburg, PA, the son of the late Clarence Eugene and Irma Jean (Shipton) Decker. He married Reba Ellen Duchman on June 13, 1964, in Altoona.
Survived by his wife: Reba, two sons: Curt (Heather) Decker and Wade (Petra) Decker, 4 grandchildren. Predeceased by his sister, Janet Gilley.
Ed was a graduate of the Altoona High School Class of 1960. He served in the Navy and was on USS Independence during the Cuban Crisis.
He retired in 2001 as an Assembler-Tester from F.L. Smithe Machine Co. after 36 years of service. He was a Member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church...
Ed enjoyed music, especially Blue Grass, and played guitar since he was thirteen.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Private Entombment Blair Memorial Park.
