DENNY L. MOORE

Denny L. Moore, 88, Altoona, passed away Dec. 5, 2014, at Valley View Health and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born in Leechburg​, son of the late Wayne Sr. and Sadie (Spratt) Moore. He married Helen A. Edwards on Sept. 1, 1948, and she preceded him in death on April 20, 2007.

Surviving are a daughter, Rachel L. Moore and husband, Michael Bogner, of Northport, N.Y.; ​a son, Michael E. and wife, Linda, of Harrisburg; four grandchildren: ​Reuben, Henry, ​Jennifer Oliver and husband, Chad, and Casey Smith  and husband, Stephen; three great-grandchildren: Kylie​ and Lucas​ Oliver​ ​and ​Ev​erleigh​ Smith​; a daughter-in-law, Paulette of Pittsburgh; and a brother, John of Apollo.

He was preceded in death by a son, Steven E.; and a brother, Wayne Jr.

Denny served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He earned a B.S. in zoology at Fairmont State Teachers College in Fairmont, W.Va.  He sold machine tools for DoALL Co. of Des Moines, Iowa. He was a former member of the Bellwood American Legion.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no service.
