Dorothy M. Harella-Glunt, 82, Duncansville, died Friday at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh.
She was born in Lilly, daughter of the late Andrew and Honorata (Godish) Zajdel. She was twice married, first to Lutz âHankâ Harella on Aug. 27, 1949, in Lilly; he preceded her in death March 7, 1968. She then married Robert T. Glunt on Feb. 9, 1974, in Altoona; he died July 27, 1978.
Surviving are three sons: Joseph (Kathy) Harella of Altoona, Robert Harella of Duncansville and Ronald (Darlene) Harella of Hollidaysburg; three grandchildren: Shelby (Pete) Frick, Renee (Josh) Link and Lucas Harella; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Josephine Kozak of Lilly.
She was preceded in death by four brothers: John, Felix, Steve and William; and three sisters: Mary Prorok, Frances Terrone and Anna Popow.
Dorothy was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. She enjoyed bingo and needlework, and she especially enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona, and 9:15 to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Duncansville. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Committal will be at SS. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Dorothyâs request was to make donations to St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.
