Mrs. Dorothy R. Horon, 83, Altoona, formerly of Juniata, died Sunday morning at Valley View Home.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late John and Catherine (Evonic) Wysocki. She married Charles H. on March 13, 1948, in Altoona. He preceded her in death on June 4, 1990.
She is survived by three daughters: Mary C. Willey of Altoona, Patricia A. Kelley of Juniata, Cecelia L. Shura and husband, Donald, of Tyrone; one son, Charles J. and wife, Linda, of Fallentimber; 13 grandchildren: Jennifer, Jessica, Gretchen, Tiffany, Sheri, Kimberly, Tonia, Regina, Katherine, Melissa, Jason, Brian and Heather; 15 great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Hana Song, Alicia, Daniel, Zoey, Julian, Jonathan, Ieshia, Devon, Tasha, Jared, Madison, Hunter, Elizabeth, Blake; a sister, Cecelia Frank of Altoona; and a brother, Joseph and wife, Sally, of Altoona.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Britt; and a son-in-law, James Kelley.
She was a 1947 graduate of Altoona High.
Dorothy was a member of member of St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church.
She worked for the Home Nursing Agency doing clerical work.
She enjoyed walking, reading, playing cards and cooking.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at the Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc. 1204 17th St., Altoona, where a Trisagion service will be held Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Maryâs Ukrainian Catholic Church, 21st Avenue and 20th Street, by Father Andrew Clarke. Committal will be held at St. Mary Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery.
