Edith M. Geesey

Mrs. Edith M. Geesey age 83, of Logan Twp., passed peacefully in her sleep Sunday evening at Valley View. She was a long time resident of the Washington Ave. Altoona. Born in Altoona, she was the daughter of the late John and Mazie (Brown) Spidel. She married Clinton R. on May 29, 1950 at Hagerstown, Md. He preceded her in death on October 1, 1993. She leaves behind one daughter Cathy M. Geesey with whom she resided with. Two sisters: Nora Geesey of Georgia, and Jo Ann Kelly of Florida. many and nieces and nephews. She was a former member of the First United Church of Christ. Edith was a seamtress for Purtians Sportswear. Edith enjoyed sewing, cooking, reading, and spending time with her daughter. At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing an a private service by Chaplin Adam Kravets. Committal Alto-Reste Burial Park.
