Edna R. King, 95, Altoona, passed away Tuesday afternoon at her residence.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of Carl and Ruth (Weidley) Enzbrenner. She married Howard Ellsworth King on June 11, 1942, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 30, 1988.

King, all of Altoona; six grandchildren: John (Janice) King, Karen (Mike) Sparacino, Cynthia (Doug) Wise, Janine (Jason) Henahan, William (Nikki) King Jr. and Katherine Forsht; 10 great-grandchildren: Julia, Kylee, Tessa, Mira, Sophia, Gabriella, Lydia, Konner, Dominic and Kameron; as well as her outstanding caregivers and senior companion.
Edna was a 1938 graduate of Altoona High School and worked as a self-employed bookkeeper, retiring in 1992. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and the Confraternity of Christian Mothers.
Her great-grandfather, George, started the Enzbrenner Brewery in 1852, Altoona's first brewery. Edna enjoyed crocheting, reading and her many pets, but most of all she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
