EILEEN G QUINTON

Eileen G. Quinton, 84, Altoona, passed away at Tuesday at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late William Edward and Ruth D. (Harris) Daugherty. 

Surviving are two daughters: Shirley Crowl and husband, Tim, and Mary Ickes, all of Altoona; a eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Gibboney of Altoona; and a daughter-in-law, Kathleen Quinton. 

She was preceded in death by her son, Douglas Quinton.

Eileen graduated from Altoona High School in 1953. She was a clerk typist, employed by Van Zandt VA Medical Center, and where she retired from on July 3, 1997, after 21 years of service. 

Eileen enjoyed reading, crafts and working with the Senior Literacy Program.

A service will be held at the convenience of the family.
