ELWOOD 'SCOTTY' LOUIS SCOTT

Elwood Louis “Scotty” Scott, 74, Altoona, passed away Saturday at his residence.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Earl Erickson and Cleona A. Scott. He married Jolene M. Brumbaugh on March 9, 2002, in Altoona.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Barry (Mildred); four grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; two sisters: Darla (Mark) Witmer and Mary Laney; and his in-laws, Pat and Bruce Brumbaugh.

He was preceded in death by a son, Elwood “Butchy” Jr.

He served as a sergeant in the Army and the National Guard from 1964 to 1983 as a photographer and switch board operator. He also worked for multiple security agencies. He was a member of life member of the Coalport VFW Post 7043. 

Scotty enjoyed taking care of his Boston Terrier, his pug dog and his ferrets.

At the family’s request, a service will be privately held at the convenience of the family.
