Frances Pagliaro 94, of Altoona passed away Thursday evening surrounded by her loving family at UPMC Altoona. Born in Johnstown, daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Petrosky) Kravetz. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph, of 69 years, who she married on August 10, 1944, in Johnstown. Survived by her children, Lorraine (Robert) Beck, Altoona; Patricia (Richard) Layton, Bradenton, FL; Isabelle (Dennis) Gerber, Baltimore, MD; Michael (Deena) Pagliaro, Cary, NC; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Anastasia Drosjack and sister-in-law, Betty Oxen. Preceded in death by her siblings: Rosie Kravetz, Catherine Solgan, Harry Kravetz, Pete Kravetz, Anna Sandusky, Mary Papuga, Charlie Kravetz. Frances was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Devoted to the Catholic Church, the Slots, her word search puzzles, baking Christmas and wedding cookies. Frances was Ukraine and Polish and cooked with the best of the Italians! Friends will be received on Sunday January 15, 2017 from 2 to 6 p.m. where a vigil for the deceased will be held during visitation, at the Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home, Inc. 1204 17th Street Altoona, Pa. 16601. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday January 16, 2017 at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament One Cathedral Square, Altoona, Pa. 16601.
