Fred E. Warnick, 74, Altoona, died Thursday evening at Forbes Hospice, Pittsburgh. He was born in Homestead, son of the late Fred E. and Grace (Gray) Warnick. Surviving are a stepdaughter, Julia Klaiber-Clapper and husband, Sean, of Bellwood; two stepsons: Thomas Klaiber and fiancée, Terry White, and David Klaiber, all of Altoona; a granddaughters, Kiera Clapper; and Tarin Klaiber; and two sisters: Pat Warnick and Kathy Marzec and fiancé, Floyd Butler, all of Munhall. He was preceded in death by Tokie Klaiber-Warnick. Fred retired as a general manager from Motel 6 and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a referee for basketball and helped with Special Olympics, and he especially enjoyed his dog, Ruby. At the request of the deceased, there will be no service. Inurnment will be at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, kindly make donations to the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 E.
