Joseph C. Mishock, 83, Logan Township, died unexpectedly Saturday morning at UPMC Altoona.
He was born in Glen White, son of the late John and Elizabeth (Guza) Mishock. He married Irene C. Boldizar on Oct. 22, 1955, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Gallitzin.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Diane Burkett and husband, Scott, of Bellefonte; a son, Steven of Ashville; four grandchildren: Jamie and Nick Mishock and Matt and Brent Burkett; a great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Burkett; and two sisters: Anna Chonko of Altoona and Helen Knee of Duncansville.
He was predeceased by five brothers: John, Michael, George, Edward and Andrew; and a sister, Elizabeth.
Mr. Mishock was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a machine operator for SKF Industries.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. today, Nov. 3, 2013, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona. A funeral mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, by Father Cark Spishak. Committal will be at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Gallitzin. In lieu of flowers kindly make donations to Sain Rose of Lima School Library.
