LAWRENCE E. BRITTON

Lawrence E. Britton, 61, Hollidaysburg, died Tuesday evening at UPMC Altoona.

He was born in Philadelphia, son of the late Joseph Thomas and Margaret Mae (Frampton) Britton.  He married Doris Wiedman.

Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Dory; a daughter, Christine M.; two sons: Lawrence E. Jr. and Joseph Aloysius; two grandchildren; two sisters: Peggy (Dan) Lafferty and Rosemary (Jack) Wiedman; and a brother, John (Mary).

He was preceded in death by a sister, Josephine; and three brothers: Joseph, Rick and Steven.

Lawrence was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He was an elevator mechanic for Philadelphia Housing Authority.

Friends will be received from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral Mass on Monday, Dec. 28, 2015, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Altoona, by Father David Rizzo. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
