Loretta M. Garlick, 77, Altoona, died Monday morning at Altoona Center for Nursing Care.
Born in Altoona, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Jasper and Francy (Wills) Price. She married Walter M. Garlick June 23, 1956, in Altoona.
Surviving are her husband, Walter M.; a daughter, Karen D. and husband, Robert J. Poorman, of Altoona; grandson, Spc. Jason Poorman, serving with the U.S. Army at Fort Hood, Texas; a granddaughter, Boatswain's Mate 2nd Class Mindy Poorman, serving with the U.S. Coast Guard at Toledo, Ohio; and a sister, Betty Kitting of Altoona.
She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Garlick was a member of First Grace Brethren Church.
She was a 1950 graduate of Altoona High School.
She had been employed as a nurse's aide at Altoona Hospital and formerly worked at Sylvania.
Loretta enjoyed crossword puzzles and ceramics.
Friends will be received from noon to 2 and 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona. A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, at at the funeral home by Pastor John Townsend. Committal will be at Blair Memorial Park.
