Marjorie L. Hoffman, 86, Altoona, passed away Monday evening at UPMC Altoona surrounded by her family.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late William J. and Ellen C. (Delozier) Lumadue. She married Durbin C. Hoffman Jr. on July 3, 1947, in Altoona, and he died on Dec. 9, 1969.
Surviving are seven daughters: Cecilia (Thomas) Shannon of Tyrone and Marjorie L. (Bill) Weible, Beverly (Keith) Elder, Lucinda M. (Tom) Royal, Ellen R. (Mark) Glunt, Amy (Gregory) Stolz and Jennifer D. (Brian) Schramke, all of Altoona; two sons: Durbin W. of Altoona and Alan Christopher (Jenifer) of Spruce Creek; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sara Quinlan of Altoona.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Ann Bayer; and 12 siblings: Elizabeth “Bess” Greinader, Charles, William, Arthur, Regis, Robert “Bob” and Peter “Pete” Lumadue, Clair McGuire, Edith Ball, Helen Douglass, Jean McGill and Anna Marie Hoover.
Marjorie was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Widows Club and volunteered at the Altoona Food Bank. She enjoyed sewing, playing cards and doing crafts.
Friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13, 2015, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church by Father Charles Bodziak. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be sent to the Altoona Food Bank, 2100 Sixth Ave., Altoona, PA 16602.
