MARY E. GALANT
January 5, 1930 — May 23, 2014
Mrs. Mary E. Galant, 84, Altoona, passed late Friday morning at her residence.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late John E. and Lillian (Galbreath) Mains. She married Joseph B. Galant on Nov. 21, 1949, in Winchester, Va. He preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 2003.
She was predeceased by her sister, Donna L. Feathers.
She was a pattern folder for Butterick, where she worked for 42 years. Mary enjoyed gardening and bingo. She loved being with her daughter, grandson and great granddaughter, Bailey. She also enjoyed her pets: Bear and Ashes.
Mary was a graduate of Altoona High School, Class of 1947.
Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. today and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona, where a funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2014, by Chaplin Tony Conrad, officiating. Committal will be at Ss. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Cemetery, Altoona.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations are kindly sent to Grane Hospice Care, 106 Zee Plaza Hollidaysburg, Pa. 16648.
