Mary Henderson, 90, Altoona, went home to be with her Savior Wednesday evening at Valley View Home.
She was born in McKean County, daughter of the late Paul J. Sr. and Luigina (Campagna) Battisti. She married David Brown Henderson, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are a daughter, Merry Ann Frazier and husband, James W. Jr., and their sons, James and David; a son, Jeffrey L. and wife, Melissa, and their children, Chelsea, Corey and Cody; the children of her late son, Paul J. Battisti Jr.: John, Stephen, Timothy, Kathleen and Christina; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Frank and Henry C.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Guido A.; and a sister, Matilda.
Mary was a graduate of Altoona High School. She retired as a nurse's aide from Mercy Hospital. She was a lifetime member of the former Altoona First United Methodist Church, and she was a senior companion for Blair Senior Services for 28 years.
Mary enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, regular puzzles and cooking.
Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2012, at the Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona (www.krishfuneralhome.com), followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m. by the Revs. Peggy Bonsell and Towanda Acey. Interment will be held at Blair Memorial Park.
