MARY K. McNELLIS

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Frederick W. and Catherine M. (Bender) Snyder. She married the late Bernard M. McNellis on Oct. 6, 1951, in Altoona.

Surviving are two nieces: Sally Yeager and husband, Merrill, of Duncansville and Dianne Sommer and husband, John, of Annapolis, Md.; a very dear and special friend, Bertha Frank; and eight great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers: David J. Snyder and George Snyder.

Mary was a graduate of Altoona High School and retired as a cashier for Acme Foods after 31 years of service. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish, and she was an avid reader and enjoyed watching sports.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, July 29, 2013, at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Duncansville. Committal will be at St. Mary Catholic Church Cemetery, Altoona.
