Nicholas "Nick" R. Ballos

Nicolas R. Ballos, “Nick” passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on Dec. 11, 2024. He was born on October 29, 1950, in Altoona to Gust and Barbara (Long) Ballos. He graduated from Altoona Area High School in 1968.

On May 20,1972, he married Connie Wolfinger. In addition to his wife of 52 years he is survived by daughter Nicole (Mike Thompson) Ballos of East Norriton, PA, one son Matthew (Fawne) Ballos of Hollidaysburg; daughters Lindsey (Matt) Freedman of Doylestown and Britnee Habinyak of Altoona. Grandchildren: Lena and Teddy Ballos and Harper, Hannah, and Dylan Freedman

Nick is also survived by two sisters: Darlene (Tim) Weiand of Bellwood and Nancy (Tom) Gibney of Altoona and several close nieces and nephews. 

Nick enjoyed hunting and fishing, watching Penn State and Steelers football games, and spending time with his family.

There will be no public viewing. A funeral service will be held at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home, Inc 1204 17th Street Altoona on Sunday December 15th at 3:30 by Rev. Roy Steward. Burial will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery, Altoona.
