PATRICIA A. 'PEG' WALKER

Patricia A. “Peg” Walker, 67, Altoona, formerly of Green Avenue Tower, died Wednesday morning at Altoona Center for Nursing Care. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Murtiff) Lafferty. She married Ronald W. Walker on Nov. 14, 1962, in Winchester, Va., and he preceded her in death on May 28, 2002. Surviving are four daughters: Darla Walker, Margaret Brantner, Donna Laich and Cheryl Howsare; two sons: Bruce and David; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; a sister, Nancy Zeth; and a brother, Carl. She was preceded in death by four brothers: Bernard R., Arnold, Nelson and Edwin; and three sisters: Corrine Frye, Shirley Ewing and infant Donna. Peg was a 1962 graduate of Altoona High School. She enjoyed crafts and bingo. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. by Father Allen P. Zeth. Inurnment will be at Grandview Cemetery.
