Raymond E. Holleran, 85, Altoona, died Friday morning at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Howard John and Bertha Marie (Welsh) Holleran. He married Martha Jane Gagen on Jan. 26, 1946, in Philadelphia, and she preceded him in death on June 10, 2005.
Surviving are a daughter, Kathy A. Barger and husband, James, of Altoona; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Thomas P. and Richard C.; and a sister, Mary Theresa Kelley.
Raymond served with the U.S. Navy during WWII. He retired as a salesman for Blair Candy Co. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and a member of Disabled American Veterans.
Raymond enjoyed yard work, fixing things and going fishing.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held Sunday afternoon. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 4, 2010, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 12th Avenue and 20th Street, Altoona, led by Father Christopher Panagoplas, T.O.R. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.
