Raymond J. “Ray” Kotzatoski, 80, Altoona, passed away Thursday morning at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Stanley Leo and Anna (O'Dellick) Kotzatoski. On July 2, 1966, he married Alice G. Shauf at Trinity United Methodist Church, Bellwood.
Surviving are his wife, Alice G. Kotzatoski; a son, Raymond J. Kotzatoski Jr. of Altoona; and a sister, Judith of Altoona.
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Joni Rae; and a brother, Richard.
Ray graduated from Altoona High School, Class of 1956. He served in the U.S. Army from Nov. 18, 1961 to Nov. 9, 1964. Ray was a line operator, employed by PPG-Tipton and he retired in March 2000, after 34 years of service.
He was a member of Grace Fellowship Church, Juniata campus. He also attended New Hope Baptist Church.
Ray enjoyed walking his dog, Gus, and going to Altoona Curve baseball games with his wife, Alice.
Friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona. A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, Pastor Rod Lingenfelter officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
