Rita Mae Wenrich

Rita Mae Wenrich, 62, Altoona RD 3, died Wednesday morning at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. She was born in New Kensington, daughter of Edward Jr. and Emma Mae (Sullivan) Watchey. She married Donald B. Wenrich Sr. Feb. 15, 1969, in Altoona. She is survived by her husband, Donald B.; a daughter, Susan Ford of Bedford; a son, Donald B. Wenrich Jr. of Altoona; and a grandson, Braden; her mother of Altoona; three brothers: Robert P. Watchey and James E. Watchey, both of Altoona, and Edward J. Watchey of Johnstown. She was preceded in death by her father. She worked at Sylvania, C-COR as a quality control inspector, and then as a secretary at Durant Baker State Farm Insurance office. Rita enjoyed crafts, knitting, crocheting and camping. She especially enjoyed spending time with her husband, children and grandson. She was a graduate of Altoona High School, Class of 1964, and also attended South Hills Business School. Friends will be received from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday by Pastor Art Shotts.
