Rosalie M. Williams, 82, of Altoona, formerly of Juniata, died at UPMC Altoona, after an extended illness. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late James Marcellus and Elizabeth (Markley) Myers. Rosalie married her late husband Robert J. Williams on Jan. 6, 1955. He preceded her in death on Oct. 22, 2008.
She is survived by three children: Sheryl A. DeHaas, Carol (Robert “Butch”) Ruggery and John A. (Julie) Williams. She is also survived by a brother, James Myers; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Rosalie was preceded in death by her son, Robert J. Williams Jr.; a sister, June Dodson; a brother, Thomas Myers; and a son-in-law, Max DeHaas.
Rosalie always wore a smile, was full of joy and encouraged others. She loved sharing her family heritage (especially the Howard Hotel).
Rosalie was very skilled in drawing and artwork. She also enjoyed camping, boating, shopping, Bunco, and especially spending time with her family.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Grandview Cemetery, Altoona. Pastor Tyler Pepper will be officiating.
