Rose Marie Brennan, 80, Hollidaysburg Veterans Home, formerly of Lakemont, died Thursday morning at Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Hazel Wike. She married Donald F. Brennan April 19, 1961, in Altoona.
Surviving are her husband; five sons: Donald F. Jr. of Altoona, Steven and wife, Diane, of Hollidaysburg, James and wife, Vickie, of Altoona, John and wife, Diane, of Duncansville and Daniel and wife, Lisa, of Altoona; eight grandchildren: Donald "Dutch" Brennan II, Craig Brennan, Christopher Brennan, Nicole Nagle and husband Steve, Angela Brennan, Kimberly Brennan and husband Travis Pope, Brittany Brennan and Cindy Brennan; a great-grandson, Christian Nagle; a daughter-in-law, Betty Brennan; three sisters: Romaine Wilt of Altoona, Christine Walters of Las Vegas and Paulette Bansemar of Carlisle; and a brother, Rodney Wike of Altoona.
She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Russell, and brothers William and Samuel.
Mrs. Brennan was a 1948 graduate of Altoona High School. She retired from Butterick Co. as a folder. She was a member of Fourth Lutheran Church.
She enjoyed bingo, playing cards, doing puzzles and volunteering at Van Zandt VA Medical Center.
Friends may be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009, and 9 to the 10 a.m. funeral service Monday, Aug. 24, 2009, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona, by Pastor Dick Barr. Committal will be held at Blair Memorial Park.
