ROSE RITA SPRINGMAN

April 17, 1925 — February 12, 2016

Rose Rita Springman, 90, Altoona, passed away Friday evening at Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Joseph M. and Catherine B. (Lantzy) Springman.

Surviving are many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her fifteen siblings: Mary, Hilary, Ernestine, Wilhemina, Scholastica, Wilfred, Gervase, Germaine, Gerard, Vida, Margaret, Constance, Patrick, Howard and Robert.

Rose was employed as a dietary aide by Altoona Hospital for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church.

Rose enjoyed doing crafts, reading and playing the piano.

Friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15, 2016, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held at 5 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016, at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church by Father D. Timothy Grimme. Committal will be at St. Patrick Cemetery, Northern Cambria.
