Sally A. Yeager, 82, of Duncansville, peacefully passed away Tuesday morning surrounded by her family at her residence. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late David and Anne (McCabe) Snyder.
Sally married Merrill G. "Pete” Yeager Jr. on Feb. 8, 1964, at The Cathedral of The Blessed Sacrament, Altoona. He preceded her in death on Oct. 16, 2018.
Surviving are two daughters: Susan (George) Baker and their grandchildren: Yuriy “Alex” and Trevor; and Amy (Randy) Banks and their children: Christopher and David, and their grandson, Jasper; a sister, Dianne (John) Sommer; and two brothers-in-law, Clark Emerick and Harry Yeager.
She was preceded in death by siblings: Kathryn J. Snyder, Paula M. Emerick and Frederick G. Snyder.
Sally was an Altoona High School graduate.
She worked in the credit department of Gables and was a secretary for the City of Altoona. She recently worked for 35 years as a group supervisor at her daughter's daycare, Stepping Stones Daycare & Preschool Inc.
Sally most enjoyed spending time with her beloved family and friends. She was also an avid reader, and enjoyed gardening, sewing and painting.
She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dc. 20, 2024, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024, at St. Catherine Of Siena Catholic Church, 308 Old Rt. 22, Duncansville, with Father Jeremy Mohler.
Private interment at Blair Memorial Park.
