SUZANNE "SUE" I BENTON

Mrs. Suzanne I. "Sue" Benton, 65, Everett, formerly of Altoona, passed away Saturday evening after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Sue was born in Altoona, daughter of Mary L. (Markley) and the late James J. Servello Sr. She married Kenneth P. Benton Jr. on May 8, 1971, at Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona.

She is survived by her husband, Ken; a son, Kenneth P. Benton III of Everett; a daughter, Lori Sue Benton of Lititz; her mother, Mary, of Altoona;  three sisters: Patricia and husband, Pete Burkholder, Judy and husband, Thomas, Clendenin of Altoona, Nancy and husband, Arnold “Jr” Hoover of Grove City, Ohio; seven brothers: James J. Jr. and wife, Nancy, of Duncansville, Jack R. and wife, Sandy, of Altoona, Kenneth and wife, Susan, of Altoona, David and wife, Paulette, of Altoona,  Timothy and wife, Brenda, of Duncansville,  Ronald and fiancé, Diane, of Port Matilda, Lawrence and wife, Kelli, of Altoona; and 21 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Sr.; and nephew, Julian.

Sue was a 1967 graduate of Altoona High School.

She loved the Lord and her family. She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her and loved her.

She belonged to the Bedford County Therapeutic Riding program.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation. A private service and committal will be held at the convenience of the family.
