Sylvia Mary Santoni, 92, Altoona, died Friday at UPMC Altoona.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Lawrence and Marietta (LaMorte) Tudisco. On April 24, 1954, she married Alfred Joseph Santoni Sr. in Altoona, and he preceded her in death on March 2, 2014.
Surviving are two sons: Jeffrey Thomas Santoni of Pittsburgh and Ronald M. Santoni of Altoona; a grandson, Ryan Santoni; a granddaughter, Chelsie Zeiders; and two nieces: Rose Marie Self and Mary Ann Sullivan.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Alfred J. Santoni Jr.; two brothers: Mike and Ralph; and five sisters: Teresa, Helen Albright, Rose Sturino, Louise and Eleanor.
Sylvia was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Altoona. Her finest quality was caring for others. Sylvia always put everyone before herself, and she was a very giving and loving person. She will be missed by many.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 309 Lotz Ave., Altoona. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Carl Vacek celebrant. Commital will be at Calvary Cemetery.
