Teresa M. Wojcik, 88, Hollidaysburg, died Monday evening at Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late James William and Margaret M. (Delaney) Kinney. She married Louis W. Wojcik on June 3, 1946, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 1994.
Surviving are five daughters: Sister Sara Marie Wojcik, Sister of Charity, of Greensburg, Patricia (John) Longenecker of Duncansville, Susan (James) Irvin of Concord, N.C., Anne (Ric) Mars of Bethel Park and Dr. Teresa (John F.) Fraundorfer; four sons: Robert (Sheila) of Altoona, Paul (Karen) of Fleming Island, Fla., and Michael and John, both of Altoona; 16 grandchildren: Steve Beasom, Bobbie Jo Beasom, Craig Wojcik, Kevin Longenecker, Bridget Zimmerman, Andy Wojcik, George Wojcik, Tim Wojcik, Dan Wojcik, Michele Wojcik, Kristy Helms, Melissa Irvin, Michael Mars, Jennifer Mars, Emma Fraundorfer and Alexis Fraundorfer; eight great-grandchildren: Indie Jay Beasom-Van der Giessen, Jerica Zimmerman, Zachery Wojcik, Sarah Wojcik, Melissa Wojcik, Makayla Stubler, Lorelai Helms and Brenna Helms.
Also surviving are two brothers: Thomas E. of Hollidaysburg and Bill of Shreveport, La.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jay Wojcik; and four siblings: Joseph, Catherine Regina Adams, Thomas Garret and Mary Evelyn.
Teresa was a graduate of Altoona High School and a member of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. She had been a clerk for Gableâs Department Store. She enjoyed baking, cooking and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held during the visitation. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. Committal will be at SS. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Cemetery.
