WILLIAM G. HATCH

William G. Hatch, 81, of Altoona, died Friday at UPMC Altoona.

He was born in Altoona, the son of the late George and the late Mary (Schmeltzer) Hatch. He married  Mary A. Simmons on August 9, 1966 in Virginia.

Survived by his wife: Mary. Children:: Suzett Simmons, Michele, Lisa Furey, Elizabeth Jameson, Lori Chislow, John and  Andrew Hatch. 24 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Sisters Mary Conrad, Rose Calderwood, Anna Walters, and a brother Thomas.

Bill was a graduate of Altoona High School, Bill worked at Union Tank Co as a grit blaster and the at Poof Slinky. Bill enjoyed auto body work and fixing cars. He liked to hunt, going fishing, and also tinkering around the house. Bill loved watching the Steelers, Pirates and Penguins (All Pitt Teams).

Dad made friends where ever he went. 

Friends received Wednesday February 3, 2016 from 11 am till 1 pm  where a Memorial Service will be held by Pastor George Simmons. Private in urnment at Blair Memorial Park.
